The Fleet of E.R. Schiffahrt
Our fleet consists of 120 vessels in service in the container, bulk and multipurpose segments. Including some of the world’s biggest container vessels at 13,100 TEU, our managed fleet ranks among the largest charter shipowners fleets in the world. E.R. Offshore currently manages 13 units – eleven platform supply vessels (PSV) in various size categories and two large anchor handling tug supply vessels (AHTS).
Our journey to becoming one of the largest container tonnage providers began with the 2,226 TEU "E.R. Hamburg" in the year 1998. This was as sound an investment as the construction of the six-times larger 13,100 TEU "E.R. Benedetta" in 2011.
Investment decisions were made and market opportunities taken advantage of in our diversification efforts in the bulk shipping and offshore shipping market segments.
Since 2012 the Blue Star Holding group of ship owning companies brings together the ship management activities of E.R. Schiffahrt, Komrowski Befrachtungskontor and the Komrowski Group-owned Blue Star. This partnership has expanded the carrying capacity of E.R. Schiffahrt’s fleet to more than ten million tonnes. In terms of deadweight capacity, Blue Star Holding is Germany’s largest shipping group.
